Modern ikebana
refers to the free and innovative style of ikebana that
developed after the Secon d World War. Influenced by the
avant garde art movement of the time, a new form of ikebana
was explored that actively used different materials, was
not bound by form, and reflected individual thought. Even
today, attempts are being made to express the cutt ing edge
of the times through flowers.
